We are partnering with Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District for a live stake harvesting event!
‘Live stakes’ are dormant, living sections of tree branches. We need volunteers to prune and collect live stakes to be re-planted along the eroding stream banks of the Little Miami River, Great Miami River and O’Bannon Creek. After replanting, the live stakes will grow into trees and naturally stabilize the banks!
Please bring a mask and follow Covid-19 recommendations. Dress for the weather and for walking along the river; bring pruners if you have them! If you have questions, please email jtegge@ohioriverfdn.org
