Alms Park habitat restoration

Work with Cincinnati Parks staff and members of the Alms Park Advisory Council (Alms Park Allies) to remove invasive species in an effort to restore our native forest understory. Volunteers will use hand saws and loppers to cut Amur honeysuckle bushes and porcelain Vine. Volunteers will also work behind chainsaw operators to drag cut honeysuckle to a chipper or to lay on the forest floor.

Volunteers should be prepared with clothing appropriate for the weather. Face covering, gloves and a refillable water bottle are suggested. Parks will supply tools and equipment, but if you prefer to use your own hand tool, please bring it! For more details or questions feel free to contact Christyl, christyl.johnson-roberts@cincinnati-oh.gov, or text or call 513.240.5735
